George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld and many of the war-hawks at the Whitehouse have never been on a front-line. Which may be why they're so willing to flippantly risk the lives of our men and women in the armed forces and the lives of innocent citizens of Iraq in this war.
As the war-hawks in the Whitehouse lick their lips and prepare to celebrate their "successful" end of the war (or are they celebrating a new beginning?) we find ourselves in a dark new reality. The hubris of the new American Empire has put us at odds with the rest of the planet, created tension ripe for new terrorism, and has neglected crucial needs of the citizens of this nation (education, health care, jobs...) All this at the extreme cost of dozens of lives of US soldiers, hundreds of lives of civilians and thousands of lives of Iraqi soldiers.
We may soon "win" this war but at what cost?
Use our system to easily send an eBOMB with a personalized message to the President and all the war-hawks in the Whitehouse who have never fought a battle.
Whether you agree or disagree with the new American imperative, share your thoughts below. Just be sure to respect the opinions of everyone else.

Jorge X. Bush XXXIV says: I know you'll make Iraq just as beautiful as you've made Afghanistan...Human Rights Watch reports show that most girls are still prevented from going to school by US financed fundamentalist warlords. Communities are held in bondage by strict Sharia law, while the corrupt thugs in charge profit off what is now the largest heroin crop in the world. The UN hunger assessment says malnutrition is worse than it was in 2001. Like the Romans, you "make a desert and call it peace."
Justine Fernandes says: how can you claim to be believers. Read the wisdom of solomon, chapter 6.
Susan Gordon-Clark says: I feel that the war on Iraq sets a dangerous precident. The premptive strike concept worries me greatly. Does this mean that we will become the self-appointed police of the world and just get rid of those rulers who we think are a potential threat to our country? Saddam Hussan is certainly a horrible man, but Iraq has not attacked us or asked us to free them from their oppressor. Bush et al just thought it would be a good idea. I do not agree that it is and I think the actions are based on a personal agenda that is not shared by many Americans.
Africa vs. the War by Nancy Palus says: The Post, the independent daily of Lusaka, Zambia, echoed a sentiment of many African papers that global security has been permanently shaken by the Iraq war. The world is bound to see a stepped-up arms race, the paper said, as so-called rogue nations brace for their turn for a pre-emptive U.S. attack. "There is a real danger, a greater one than ever before," stemming from the United States' "blind, mystical, fanatical faith in its strength … [and] in its ability to impose its will on any nation." Nigeria's independent Guardian, calling the U.S.-British attack "history's most costly coup," cautioned, "One of the greatest mistakes America can make is to install an American as a regent when Saddam is eventually ousted. Then, the resentment in the Arab and Muslim world will simply boil over." The Ghanaian Chronicle said, "If we allow our hatred of one man to blind us to the danger of the arrogant show of power and the flouting of international law, it could be our turn."
Derek N says: The Law of Attraction states that that which you push against you attract into your experience. If a government focuses on collective fear and terrorism, terror is what it shall attract. Mr. Bush, superior might does not make right, and you look more and more like your enemies, Osama and Saddam every day -- they are your dopplegangers, your mirrors... And you have authorized the killing of thousands of people in pursuit of your paranoid, fear based fantasies....Be healed of your feeling of separateness from Saddam and Osama (they are truly your brothers!) and be motivated by love like the Christ you pretend to follow!
Stephanie says: something stinks on Pennsylavania Bvld and I know that those in the whitehouse smell it the strongest. Get a conscience and stop lying to cover it up. We can all smell the mess you've made.
meghan says: the blood that has been shed is young, many only coursing through the veins of soldiers who haven't hit their 21st birthday. i ask the top people in the pentagon to go out on the front line for just a day, and if the uncertainty that rests on the horizon doesn't scare you to stay there and fight with these people. i guarantee you'll be back before sunrise. shame on you. bring them home now.
Matthew Friday says: Isn't it interesting that most of the State University of New York schools have published or are in the process of approving official letters against the war. I teach at a college level and every professor I know opposes the war. Additionally, the largest union of teachers, the UUP, is opposed to the war. Why is it that all of these educators and educated people oppose this war? Why is it that the Pope, Nelson Mandela and the Dixie Chicks oppose this war. And for god's sake why are most Americans watching the shit of Fox and CNN and thinking that this is an accurate representation of what is going on?
dm says: thanks for your lies...your deciet..and as a jewish person...stop listening to the government of israel..they are murderers and severely disfunctioned...you guys might like this but i'm about ready to move out of the country i was born and raised in...your geopolitical strategies suck..your biblical underpinnings suck and your using gullable young american men and woman as weapons...helping to not only take away their lives but to severely damage their psyches and their spirits...i could go on for another hour and a half with info about 'conspiracy' theories of 9-11..backed up by people whose family memebers were murdered in the twin towers...i could talk about the idea of imperialism and how that relates to what is going on today...i could talk about the butchering of our constitution and the new patriot acts which go against this constitution...wow...the list is so long and so many..all of which i'm sure you know much more about then I...so thanks for all your imposed grieve...fear...uncertainty and blatant harrasment of the citizens psyches of the usa...you have helped to make me fear my own government...cia..fbi..and police force more then the so called terrorists who i was told to be scared of....so..thank you and maybe you will get lucky and loose one more citizen..myself..to another country...was this the safety you were pushing for...well..sorry..i think it has backfired

Michael Teetering says: There will never be a way to repair the damage these war criminals have done. We will be making amends for the next 50 years, and that is if we stop them now. Later and we may only be around as a history lesson; a cautionary one.
Ed says: You are evil criminals and you will pay for your crimes.
tamara says: I do not support this thinly veiled imperialist invasion of Iraq. It's abominable that the Bush administration would risk the lives of our troops simply to add to the already bloated wealth of this country. I am disgusted with the leadership of this country and with the way we Americans have allowed the degradation of the values America is supposed to uphold. I fear this is the beginning of the end.
ben says: Stop the war you bloodthirsty criminal!
mike says: We put astronomical funding into our military. To really ensure future safety, let's put some more funding toward fostering international communication, understanding, progress. I find it unacceptable that US officials tolerate flag burning around the world and think it is a harmless byproduct of our nation's righteous acts. Let's actually address the problem. Let's get the people of the world on the same page, one step at a time. Because as populations and communication grow, we're only getting closer and more crowded. See the trend and fix this now.
Christine Villabona-Kuntz says: Hello. I am very sad that the WAR is trying to be SOLD on the TV. I am sad that you call our forces....Coalition Forces. The US has the MOST MEN /WOMEN there,it is not like we have the whole coalition of the world with us. I am embarrassed for YOU that have decided to create this war(WHICH MAKES YOU MONEY AND TAKES FRON THE TAXPAYERS) for oil. If our governement, would stop being so addicted to the use of oil and be civilized ABOUT SOLAR & WIND power. Why is it so hard for you to let other people, in your country and outside have a little power and a little automony. The US GOV"T is acting ike an imperialistic regime. The next thing I expect is that you will start to throw people in jail for speaking out, like myself. I think you have other agendas and if you think you are FOOLING the WORLD, get over IT! You can hire, or start as many MACDILL AFB Patriotic groups as you want. The bottom line is that you are using innocent people that have been fed propaganda from your war effort. I hope the ones in charge(SINCE YOU REFUSE TO LISTEN OR GIVE PROTESTORS MORE THAN 30SECS ON TV) can sleep at night. You cannot take the money with YOU
Sara says: There are hundreds of Iraqis dying today that I'll never have the pleasure of meeting. There is a unique culture in Iraq that my country did not want me to know. And for this I will forever hold regret and sadness.
Isaac S says: When the government no longer serves the interests of the people, it is the responsiibility of the people to voice their dissaproval. This is the very essence of citizenship and patriotism. End the war - bring our soldiers home.
concerned citizen says: are you guys on crack? i think the re-election of dc mayor marion barry set a realy bad example for you war pig crack heads. the founding fathers have declared this noble experiment in human liberty officialy over!
what the hell is my best friend fighting for over there huh? my liberty? this is no longer the america i was brought up to believe in. this is what my grand pa fought against .totalitarian world order. you suck. if only theodore roosevelt were alive to see what you fools have done.
jesse jesseblood says: no blood for zionist pigs!
Dyvyne says: I think maybe you should put your family in the frontline.
How about War Now!
fe kaylius says: war is archaic
William Wrigley says: In the course of a single year, the Bush administration has destroyed the good will we received from the entire world in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. I am a New Yorker; I lost friends in the Trade Center. I see the war in Iraq as an obfuscation, not a solution -- where is Bin Laden? Why has Bush been so antipathetic to the concerns of those citizens who want an invetigation into the 9/11 attacks?
All that this is doing is creating new enemies for us, and placing people in dense populations such as New York City in increased jeopardy -- only this time, if terrorist attacks occur on our soil, the majority of the world will have reason to turn away or consider those attacks retaliatory. We've been exploited by the Bush Administration as martyrs for the cause, and if anything things are more dangerous for us as a result.
Heather says: Let me just share some quotes that are excellent food for thought durring our current situation:
"YOUR HATE BECOMES YOU"
"RECONCILIATION_NOT REVENGE"
"AS YOU SOW SO SHAL YOU REAP" GAL 6:7
"EMCOURAGE YOUR HOPES NOT YOUR FEARS"
and last but not least but probably most important:
"IF THE WORLD IS SAVED IT WILL BE SAVED BY CHANGED MINDS" - Daniel Quinn
Stephan Ortiz says: This imperialistic war will yield unwelcome repercussions upon the US, the land that I love. Yet, what scares me most is how easily the masses in this country were duped into the believing that Osama = Saddam. David Blaine step aside; there's a new sleight-of-hand expert in town.
Joshua Wright says: I say 'no' to war.
Ana Reiselman says: Take care of your own country before you criticize and imperialize and bastardize another.
Your actions sicken me.

John VanBeers says: I am against the war in Iraq because I am partiotic, because I believe in the freeedom and liberty of all peoples to be a people, and because I've learned something from history about war and imperialism. We are not about to embark upon a new world order with peace and justice for all. We are aiding in the process of perhaps the greatest recruitment of terrorism the world has ever seen. To silence those who dissent is to make one's self deaf and blind. If democracy is defined by the power of the people then why did our government not listen to our cries and pleas for peaceful resolution? I am ashamed to be an American citizen. George, Dick, Paul , Richard, Condoleezza, and Don, I knew you wouldn't listen to just me, but there were millions of people all around the world who were asking you to not invade Iraq because they truly saw the "big picture". I hope you know and see that so it will forever be burned into your conscience. Sure, blood is on my hands because I am under your leadership, but just remember that you were the ones who made the decisions.
karin says: people are dying and i don't know why. this country seems to have decided that it doesn't need the rest of the world. it does.
rob says: just look to orwell: The essential act of war is destruction, not necessarily
of human lives, but of the products of human labour. War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking in the depths of the sea, materials which might otherwise be used to make the masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent.
krisgale-dot-com says: "Only a system which tolerates dissent can survive" - emperor sellasie I
considering how bush failed to respond directly (he merely said something along the lines of "we have to be diligent and keep doing what we need to do.") to the LARGEST world-wide war protest EVER in the history of mankind thus far... well, it doesn't give me a lot of hope or respect for the current presidential administration.
decrepit says: I have friends on the frontline. Peace is patriotic. Their lives should not be risked in this needless war.
